I will be the first to admit that I don't hold a lot of hope that the bankruptcy court is going to undo the (in my opinion) abhorrent treatment of the 789 Chrysler dealers that were terminated last week. Additionally, the 1124 GM dealers that were sent non-renewal letters last week probably await the same fate.
You know, however, that I didn't hold a lot of hope when my friend Bob Cockerham went to DC six weeks ago to testify to the U.S. Senate, but low and behold after submitting nearly 600 dealer e-mails and faxes the SBA amended their guidelines to allow most dealers to qualify for a capital loan and likely will have floorplans included soon.
I was forwarded this petition by one of the many Chrysler dealers that I know that received a termination letter last week. I don't know that we can help him or any his brethren, but I do know if we don't try, NOTHING will happen.
Whether you are on the good list or the bad list, whether you are a domestic or an import, or whether you are a dealer, vendor or finance company, please click through the link and electronically sign the petition that will send an e-mail to your U.S. Senators and your Congressman.
It will only take a minute to help someone, and you never know, next time it may be you needing the help.
Best regards,
GG
